Glass, Zinc plated coldroom?……No Problem! When Malmaison Hotels decided they wanted a Stunning, jaw dropping, Meat curing room for their reburbished Smoak Restaurant based at Piccadilly Manchester, they appointed Vision Commercial Kitchens to track down and source a suitable supplier.

Synecore have enjoyed many years of successful projects with Vision, and naturally we were their first point of call.

Paul Thomas quickly set about meeting with Interior designers and client, to establish exactly the look and shape and appearance required to provide the client with something exciting and unique.

“It was important from the outset to get a firm understanding, the client was very specific in their requirement and in many ways, this coldroom was going to be the main focus for the front of house and it quickly become apparent there was no compromise in their search for perfection” Said Paul Thomas Synecore

The very tight angles involved suited Synecore’s panel system, working closely with Kingspan’s PIR insulated fire rated panels, allows the room to form its corners on site, ensuring that the angle is perfect and uses every inch of space available.

The glass panels are heated to ensure there can be no condensation at any stage, ensuring perfect visiual impact at all times.

“Through our electrical division we can place the internal lighting onto the main restaurants dimming system, ensuring that different moods can be achieved and also ensure that even whilst closed, the impact remains for potential passing trade.” Explained Paul Thomas

Novus leisure once again entrusted Interiors UK and Synecore Ltd to deliver the Vision of their designers Harrison’s Design Co.

The design by Aoife Kenny of Harrison Design Co was unique and presented challenges to the team.

Synecore very quickly decided to totally rewire the lighting, from existing and new lighting positions back to the new MODE dimmer pack, the clients remit was “total lighting control“, so with 16 individual zone’s required, we set about delivering their requirement.

Every lamp was to be amber with NO white lights at all throughout the project, every fitting was relamped and control cabling run to all new LED lighting in ceiling and bar areas. The entire project was smooth from start to finish, Interiors Site Foreman Dave Frank’s taking it all in his stride and assisting all trades whenever needed.

Roti Chai

Synecore were appointed by Main Contractor Orient Rose Ltd to deliver the Electrical installation across all disciplines on this exciting project.

Design LSM were appointed as designers and the results were quite staggering. Ground floor is a “Street Food” concept, very relaxed and informal with a basement that will offer a more formal dining experience with a more extensive menu.

Stars Gym is a very high end Gymnasium, with incredible facilities across all disciplines, however has particular focus on Martial Arts, employing World Champions in their respective skill’s.

A very challenging project for all contractors involved, very high specification and tight programme dates, however we worked very closely with the clients M&E Consultant and are delighted with the finished product.

Having carried out the electrical installations on every new opening since Spitalfield Market several years ago, LEON hold a very special place in Synecore’s Heart.

Having recently completed their recent development at Brent Cross Shopping Centre, we were once again appointed to work with them at their very exciting opening in Soho’s OLD COMPTON STREET.

Development of a previous amusement arcade was intensive and very challenging indeed, however as always the LEON contracting teams performed and the client was delighted with their new Restaurant.

The site looks fabulous and is already a huge success with the funky design and wonderful food offering, LEON appears to be the new meeting place in this wonderful and thriving part of London’s West End.

Synecore continue to deliver for us as a business, in the 6 years of working together they have performed consistently well for us, whether it be a new project or our ongoing maintenance, we know we can rely on their team to meet deadlines and budgets. Due to Millenniums continued success, they have had to increase the size of the Dough dividing machine, however naturally they were concerned with many aspects of coldroom modification works during production and therefore wanted to ensure they appointed a contractor they could trust and indeed rely on to meet tight deadlines.

“Through a mutual contact, Steven Ripley, Millenniums Operations Manager contacted us and put forward a scope of works that he needed a company to adhere too. We very quickly arranged a meeting on site and looked at all options for Steve and his team. Within a week a programme was provided detailing how we would attend site and remove sufficient panels to allow their existing machine to be removed from site and then their new, much higher capacity divider to be installed. Working over weekends and out of hours, we then detailed the structural changes we would make, both in width and depth and also on the vertical height, providing them with the increased space they required. They also requested during the works that we ensured a pre fabricated exit for the machine at later date was integrated into the design, this would mean any future growth would ensure the machine could be removed easily for them”

Synecore were appointed by Treats & Snax to provide 2 new Temperature controlled Prep areas at their purpose built factory in Acton.

Synecore have now been awarded the Treats & Snax annual Maintenance contract for the entire factory facility.

Improving the lighting was a fundamental requirement, therefore we introduced additional sections within the anodised gantry to take further LED lighting, the results were stunning and the entire display is well lit, with no shadows or dark areas at all.

Power and Data sockets are built within the counter on the clients request, a fully integrated electrical system meaning just a single supply to the counter energises all sockets and data points. The openings team were delighted with the results and we were able to save them costs as well as hours and hours of setting up time.

This was the first time Paul Bakery have had to use an integral refrigeration system with no space for external plant. The client and architect were insistent on full timber cladding to front so Synecore were appointed to design a system that would ensure they could draw air from rear and also extract the rejected heat to the rear and ensure no cross contamination. With the use of additional internal fans to ensure the rejected heat from compressor was quickly removed from area, the client was delighted with the product and the technical solution offered.

Remote Weatherproof Plant manufactured by JE Hall and the Market leading Searle “GEA” range ensured maximum efficiency on the evaporators.

On final day, they arrived and snagged the project with me, I couldn’t find a single fault, however they were unhappy with a particular trim……..it was changed within 24 hours and signed off by all involved.
