Synecore’s Charity Golf Day, Friday 29 September, Tudor Park Hotel and Country Club
M&E contractor, Synecore is launching its first ever annual Charity Golf Day at Tudor Park Hotel and Country Club on Friday 29 September. Businesses and keen golfers are invited to attend a fun filled day of Golf at one of Kent’s most picturesque courses, followed by an evening of entertainment.
The announcement comes as part of Synecore’s pledge to raise £25,000 for children’s bereavement charity, Holding On Letting Go. The bulk of its fundraising efforts will be achieved by organising various events and taking part in challenges throughout 2017/18.
The Detling-based mechanical and electrical company has decided the Charity Golf Day event will become a key date in the calendar of local Kent businesses, who appreciate the opportunity to network, while enjoying a day of golf and entertainment.
Synecore’s Managing Director, Paul Thomas explains, “The Golf Day will be our largest fundraising event this year, so we are planning to make it exceptional! We have secured a fantastic 18 hole championship golf course and arranged an evening packed with entertainment; including comedy by the legendary, Adgar Brown, followed by a silent auction, with sought after memorabilia by Anthony Joshua, Floyd Mayweather and the Ryder cup.
“Fortunately, Holding On Letting Go is also the charity of the year for Tudor Park, where the event will take place. Consequently, we are able to offer an attractive rate of just £60 per person. Therefore, I have no doubt we will reach our 80 delegate capacity. Players are welcome to bring additional guests for the evening at a reduced cost of £30 if they wish.
“For local businesses, we are offering additional sponsorship opportunities, including ‘Sponsor a Hole’ and a range of awards. This is ideal for any business that would appreciate the marketing opportunity, while networking with likeminded individuals,” says Thomas.
Synecore is promoting the event on Facebook and other social media platforms. If you are interested in attending, or sponsoring the event, please email news@synecore.co.uk or visit the website www.synecore.co.uk.
How the Kent M&E Contractor is supporting Holding On Letting Go
The mechanical and electrical contractor has made a successful start in its fundraising efforts. It’s team recently hosted a quiz night, which raised over £1,700 and refrigeration engineer, Alan Gomez, is remarkably taking part in The Bridge Triathlon in Dartford, which includes a 1500m swim, 42km cycle and 10km run.
It was in March that Synecore decided to champion a local children’s charity in the hopes of making a real difference. The team discovered Rochester-based Holding On Letting Go, which helps young people from the ages of 6-16, who are struggling to come to terms with the lose of a loved one.
“Having met the team, we felt we could make a significant contribution and become a fantastic partnership,” says Thomas. “Sadly, many of the young people with whom Holding On Letting Go works have experienced a suicide, or other traumatic death within the family, which is hard for anyone to comprehend, especially a child or teen. That’s why it is important to us that we raise as much as we can for the charity and help them continue to support children across the county.”
Caroline Ford, Programme Manager for Holding On Letting Go, says “We are truly grateful to Synecore for all of the work they are doing to support our charity and we wish them every success for this exciting event.”
