E.ON, UK Enfield Power Station

Project Outline:

Synecore were approached by EON’s, Enfield Power Station to design and install a new air conditioning system for their administration building. Having taken in their unique requirements, our in house design team submitted a design that was happily accepted and we were able to get underway with the project.

When carrying out the installation work, it was important that none of the admin and control room staff were restricted in going about their daily activities. For this reason Synecore were able to deliver a rapid service that didn’t interrupt any normal activities.

Synecore’s managing director, Paul Thomas, said “This was a prestigious new client for Synecore at the time, and everyone pulled together to ensure we performed every step of the way. Installing such a system within a working environment can be quite intrusive to the staff, we worked incredibly hard to be as invisible as possible and keeping the areas clean and tidy was a large part of our daily housekeeping.”

The installation was carried out on time and on budget. The new air conditioning system has created a better working environment for all their staff and we are confident they have a system in place that will continue to meet their needs for many years to come. Due to the positive end result, Synecore were awarded the maintenance contract at EON’s power station in Isle Grain as well as the contract to continue servicing the Enfield site.

Synecore will continue to work closely with EON to take care of their air conditioning needs, as well as their maintenance, electrical, and reporting requirements of both power stations.. The size and technical requirements of the projects have been a great experience for all involved and we are happy that we could deliver a quality result.
