HVAC Installation for Minamoto Kitchoan London

Who wouldn’t want to try the Japanese sweet treats, also known as “Wagashi” by Minamoto Kitchoan? Not only are they tasty, but also healthy.  Fortunately the brand is expanding, giving new customers the opportunity to widen their palates. The Japanese confectioner now boasts two sites in London’s Piccadilly and the Strand, as well as several more in the U.S. and Asia.

Giving the London sites a helping hand, is Oakdene Property Services, which commissioned Synecore to install a full HVAC system for the new Minamoto Kitchoan at the Strand.

Craig Ballantyne, Synecore’s new HVAC Design and Technical Manager, has worked with Oakdene Property Services for many years. The firm were keen to continue the working relationship since Craig joined Synecore, knowing that he will provide a professional service, where the HVAC system will be installed correctly, on time and on budget.

In other Minamoto Kitchoan stores around the globe, Daikin products have proven efficient and reliable. Therefore, the air conditioning brand has become a firm favourite for all its outlets worldwide.

For this particular site, Synecore installed recirculating ventilation in conjunction with a single Daikin four-way cassette system to operate in the front-of-house serving area. This product provides cooling and heating solutions for all-year-round comfort. In the back-of-house area, Synecore installed a Daikin wall mounted unit – again, ideal for all-season cooling and heating.

In the lead up to the installation, Synecore worked closely with the client to achieve landlord approvals in regards to the correct routing of the interconnecting pipework and positioning of the condenser units.

“Obtaining approvals and planning permission is a much quicker process when collaborating  with the client. In the long run this save everyone time and money,” Craig Ballantyne explained. “Working with Oakdene Property Services is always a pleasure and it’s great to be part of yet another brand success story. Long may we continue our working relationship with both companies!”

Robin Fisher, Oakdene Property Services said, “It is so easy to work with Craig. From on-site discussions regarding the right type of equipment, through to his design proposals showing all calculations and power requirements for other trades to work from. Working alongside Craig and Synecore, we are able to work seamlessly to provide the perfect environment for our clients needs”

Takashi Kitatani from Takenaka Europe GmbH UK Branch added, “Thank you for your great support and your professional service indeed.  The senior management team from the client and Takenaka Europe are very happy with the quality of work you provided.”
