Launch of new Plumbing and Drainage Division
Renowned for its expertise in mechanical and electrical contracting, Synecore has introduced a ‘Wet’ division, offering plumbing and drainage to address increasing demand for an all-encompassing Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) service.
For over a decade Synecore’s M&E services have facilitated the expansion of it loyal hospitality, leisure and retail clientele. It has supported the national roll-out programmes for the likes of Leon Restaurants, Five Guys, Wasabi and The Restaurant Group – the umbrella brand for Frankie and Benny’s, Chiquito, Joe’s Kitchen and Coast to Coast.
The company has also worked with interior partners for Hilton Hotels, Shiva and the all-new Virgin Clubhouse and vroom at London Gatwick North Terminal.
Synecore has certainly achieved high acclaim within the hospitality sector, and over time, has adapted its business to suit the needs of its clients. Now, due to increasing demand, the company is introducing a plumbing and drainage division, which will compliment its mechanical services – including air conditioning installations, refrigeration and heating – and provide a turnkey MEP service to clients across the UK.
Paul Thomas, Synecore’s Managing Director explains further, “This is a major milestone for Synecore; after many years of requests from clients for mechanical, electrical and plumbing design and installation, we are now in the position to deliver a complete MEP service.
“When we decided we needed a ‘Wet’ division, we chose not to rush into a new unfamiliar territory. First, we had to recruit the right individuals, with the very best industry knowledge and experience. This was not an easy task and it took months of meetings and interviews to unearth the team that would help us realise our potential in this market.”
As fate would have it, Tim East got in touch. With over 30 years’ experience providing MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) projects for high-end hospitality and retail clients in some of London’s most desirable developments, Tim proved the perfect candidate to head-up the new division.
In addition to completing many notable projects within his career, Tim has worked hard to achieve higher industry accreditation. As a result, he has several post nominals including MIET, MCIPHE and MInstR and is working towards CPD.
“Tim’s experience working on MEP projects for comparable brand’s to Synecore’s key client base meant it was unquestionable that he would play a vital role in successfully introducing our plumbing division,” explains Thomas.
Tim was promptly recruited as Synecore’s Commercial Director and will be supported by the firm’s in-house Administrators, Service Team, Project Managers and another new addition, Neal Albon, who joins Synecore as Senior Mechanical Estimator.
“Neal will also prove invaluable to the fruition of our all-encompassing MEP service. Like Tim, he has 30 years’ experience and boasts extensive knowledge of the industry. Neal will be responsible for ensuring our clients’ needs are fully met during the crucial estimating stages,” concludes Thomas.
Synecore’s comprehensive mechanical, electrical and plumbing services will consequently lead to further expansion over the next five years and significantly increase turnover. Ultimately, Synecore will create more job opportunities and apprenticeships for the next generation of construction professionals.
