Synecore team trip to Dublin

Press release: 07/11/18

UK M&E Contractor for the Hospitality Industry Thanks Team for Hard Work and Dedication

This weekend, the UK M&E contractor Synecore, based in Sittingbourne, Kent – flew 26 of its engineers, apprentices, project managers, designers, office staff and some long-term suppliers to Dublin for an all-expenses paid trip. 2018 has been a year of change, challenges and success for the team at Synecore. That’s why the Director’s, Paul Thomas and Adrian Eade, decided to treat their dedicated staff to a well-earned break.

On Friday 2 November, the group flew from Gatwick – where the company has worked on numerous restaurant contracts and the Virgin Lounge – to the Irish capital. In true Dublin-fashion, the weekend consisted of site seeing tours and trips to various bars, watching football, clubbing and eating out.

Synecore’s Managing Director, Paul Thomas instigated the ‘Dublin Thank You Break’ three years ago and it has become somewhat of an annual tradition.

“There are not many companies that will take 26 team members for an all-expenses paid weekend away, but our team work exceptionally hard all-year-round. That’s all because we expect high-end results,” explains Thomas. “So, once a year we like to show our appreciation.

“Throughout the weekend there is lots of drinking and banter, which helps create the fantastic atmosphere that exists within the business. Our field-based teams can spend months without visiting to the office or seeing their fellow colleagues, as we work nationally, so it gives everyone a chance to get to know each other better.

“I personally find it rewarding watching everyone together, getting on, having the opportunity to socialise without the pressures of the day to day workloads. They really are a fantastic bunch who all want to see Synecore prosper and you can see that in the relationships that exist within the various teams.

“We invest lots of time and money into our staff, whether it in new software internally for service, or investing in HND’s and HVAC/Electrical training for our apprentices. Since inception, we have treated staff with respect and they all are aware of how much their hard work is appreciated and this trip mentality creates the team ethos that our clients witness every day. It makes me very proud indeed.”

This week the Synecore team return to business as usual and look ahead to 2019. Next year Synecore will continue to invest in its workforce and software to provide an outstanding mechanical, electrical and plumbing service for hospitality, leisure and retail clients nationwide. The company will support major brands, including the likes of Pret A Manger, Karen Millan, Scania, Tossed, Leon, KFC and more.
