Vivo Taste, Islington

Project Outline:

Synecore was appointed by Vision Commercial Kitchens to design and install a new coldroom and ducted cooling system for their client “Vivo Taste” in their new Islington based restaurant.

An important aspect of the installation was to maximise the available space in the coldroom. The area where the cold room was installed needed to house a significant level of supplies, therefore not losing any capacity was critical.

To allow for maximum efficiency and save on space, we installed Kingspan PIR panels. Cutting the panels on site meant we were able to achieve a seamless finish and literally use every mm of space available to the client.

By insulating the structural reveals we were able to guarantee a seamless connection between the coldroom and kitchen.

To combat the high levels of heat the kitchen would create, we installed a ducted cooling system. The design was carried out by our in house team and got the sign of approval from all the kitchen staff, especially the chef.

Visions David Bryant said: “Synecore worked professionally and quickly to install a coldroom and air conditioning system that we are over the moon with.

Although not a huge project, it was very tricky, a small brick build space that needed to house a bespoke shaped coldroom and a low ceiling void, meaning the cooling of kitchen needed design input from Synecore to ensure correct temperatures could be achieved”
