What is UVGI?
UVGI uses short wavelength Ultraviolet C (UV-C) lights to destroy the DNA of micro-organisms by permanently destroying and altering their molecular structure, meaning they can no longer replicate or grow.
UV-C purification effectively destroys 99% of airborne micro-organisms, including:
- Viruses
- Bacteria
- Odours
- Parasites
- Allergens
How Does UVGI Air Purification Work?
When air passes through a UVGI air purification unit, micro-organisms are exposed to an Ultraviolet C (UV-C) light, which effectively destroys their make-up, rendering them harmless. The treatment is up to 99% effective.
UVGI air purifiers can be coupled with your building’s existing HVAC system to ensure the air is fully filtered through the purifier before being recirculated or redirected elsewhere within the building.
How Does UVGI Destroy Covid-19?
Research shows that Covid-19 is 0.12 microns. The Electrostatic filter used in our units can capture particles down to 0.01 micron. Consequently, when viruses pass through the UV-C lights within the unit they completely breakdown and can no longer spread, or cause a danger to the occupants within a building.
What is ESP Technology?
ESP uses electrostatic filtration to remove tiny particles from the air. A static charge of around 8,000v is applied to the airstream and particles are collected on a metal plate, which has the opposite electrical potential, therefore stripping particles from the air.
Static force is a low resistance solution to filtering airborne contaminants; therefore, it can enhance the overall performance of your HVAC system.

Hybrid UVGI Air Purifier
To meet the needs of a flexible workplace, we offer a hybrid UVGI air purifier. The hybrid unit can be mounted onto a secure surface, such as a wall or ceiling. Alternatively, it can be used as a stand alone fixture, coupled with a fan. To work effectively, the unit must sit directly in-line with the air stream.

Air Purifier Cleaning and Maintenance
There are no replacement filters required for these units. The components are made of metal and can simply be cleaned regularly by a professional engineer. The UV-C lamps too can be replaced by an engineer during scheduled maintenance.
For larger applications, such as hotels, hospitals, shopping malls and leisure facilities, a monitoring system can be installed to provide a local alarm, or a BMS signal to identify a fault within a specific unit.
